Camera gimbals have been revolutionized in the past few years, allowing for smooth video footage by ever lighter, smaller cameras. We shoot with a handheld gimbal made specifically for GoPro’s and iPhones, but here’s a new model from China made for DSLRs, and we just can’t watch enough test footage, it’s that good.
On my earliest professional photography assignments, I shot with a 1980-era Canon AE-1 shutter priority film camera. Needless to say, shooting with the AE-1 more than a decade ago was much different from my recent gigs with DSLRs, multi remote fired strobes and all digital workflows.

Iphoneography in The Bahamas
On a recent cruise to The Bahamas, I wanted to see how far I could stretch the limits of the camera inside iPhone 3GS running iOS 5. This certainly isn’t the first time a photographer has rested his DSLR and relied solely upon an iPhone camera.
